Contact Sullivan Record Sources

Questions about a Sullivan County release must go to the office that created the record. County jail staff, the court clerk, TDOC, the Board of Parole, VINE, and federal agencies each answer a different part of the process. The contacts below route a request without treating one office as the custodian of every system.

This is a private reference site, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, release a person, post bond, or obtain an official booking record for you.

Choose the Correct Office

Start with the custody system and the document needed. A request sent to the wrong office can produce no result even when a valid record exists.

  • For a former county detainee, use the home page's full release-record path and contact SCSO.
  • For parole or probation, use FOIL and the Sullivan District 10 field office.
  • For a same-day custody event, use VINELink and seek the SCSO release record.
  • For a projected TDOC date, use FOIL and TDOC rather than the county roster.
  • For a court order, contact the correct Sullivan County clerk division.
  • For federal prison or immigration custody, use BOP or ICE instead of a local jail search.

TDOC notification requests use Victim.Notification@tn.gov.

Federal and ICE Contacts

Use the BOP Inmate Locator for a sentenced federal prisoner. ICE's Online Detainee Locator covers current immigration custody and releases during its limited recent window. ICE's Detention Reporting and Information Line is 888-351-4024 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern on weekdays except holidays. For USMS pretrial custody, begin with the federal court docket and use USMS records procedures only when needed.
